This articulated PhD programme in Biomedical Engineering is offered by the Faculty of Engineering as an inter-disciplinary programme in close collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine. Academic contributions are provided by various departments across the two Faculties. Administrative supports are provided by the Department of Electronic Engineering for our undergraduate and MPhil/PhD programmes, and by the Department of Mechanical & Automation Engineering for our MSc programme.
Each Ph.D. student is required to complete a minimum of 15 units of 5xxx graduate courses offered by the Division, or by other Divisions subject to the approval of the supervisor and Division Head. At least one faculty core courses must be taken. To satisfy the Faculty core course requirement, students must achieve at least a grade B in the course.
