    Extremely relevant in today's climate-aware world, this course is aimed at graduates from a wide range of disciplines. Whether you're an engineer, architect, lawyer or accountant, it will give you the qualifications you need for a career in either the renewable and traditional energy industries.

    With an emphasis on sustainable development principles and practice, the course takes an industry-focused approach, with particular application to the water sector, property development and building design. You'll also study national and international environmental legal principles, opening the door to a possible career in sustainability-based projects worldwide.

    You'll graduate with the ability to analyse and plan environmental sustainability solutions, particularly relating to water, building and property. You'll develop your communication skills, and be able to exchange theory and ideas on a wide range of sustainability issues, including environmental law, building design and waste management.

    Based over one year, the course will involve lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions and independent study. This course can also be studied part-time.

    UK requirements for international applications

    Universities in the United Kingdom use a centralized system of undergraduate application: University and College Admissions Service (UCAS). It is used by both domestic and international students.     Both undergraduate and graduate students may receive three types of responses from the university. The first one, “unconditional offer” means that you already reached all requirements and may be admitted to the university. The second one, “conditional offer” makes your admission possible if you fulfill some criteria – for example, have good grades on final exams. The third one, “unsuccessful application” means that you, unfortunately, could not be admitted to the university of you choice.

    All universities require personal statement, which should include the reasons to study in the UK and the information about personal and professional goals of the student and a transcript, which includes grades received in high school or in the previous university.

This course is broad based and targeted at a diverse student body, including civil engineers, electrical engineers, building services engineers, mechanical engineers, architects, architectural technologists, quantity surveyors, lawyers, accountants, estate managers, etc. Candidates from all backgrounds seeking to gainan understanding of sustainabledevelopment are encouraged to apply.We may also consider lesser qualifications if you have sufficient relevant work experience within the industry.If English is not your first language, it is usually required that you sit an English language test in order to gain entry onto our postgraduate programmes.This course requires the standard IELTS 6.0 with no individual component score of less than 5.5 or equivalent. English Language Requirements IELTS band: 6 TOEFL iBT® test: 75 IMPORTANT NOTE: Since April 2014 the ETS tests (including TOEFL and TOEIC) are no longer accepted for Tier 4 visa applications to the United Kingdom. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa.
